#BSLbytes 6

Posted by Chantelle Mackney on

There's a lot of talk about “fake news” lately. Fake news sites present themselves as objective journalism, but their content is filtered through the lens of a strong agenda or perspective.

There is one site in particular that openly advocates for the extermination of specific breeds, and generates its own “studies” to support this argument. To our frustration, these “studies” often appear in the media and in policy-making conversations. CBC Radio-Canada published an in-depth investigation into one of these sites – a translation is on the HugABull blog. Bookmark this for the next time you see a questionable “statistic” online!
